For online service providers, this is one of the most significant cross-border compliance shifts since the GDPR. From 18 August 2026, authorities in the participating Member States (all except Denmark) can issue European Production Orders (sent as EPOC certificates) and European Preservation Orders (sent as EPOC-PR certificates) directly to service providers once their national implementation is in place, with binding deadlines measured in hours, not weeks. Most Member States are still completing it: in September 2026 the Commission listed only six as legally ready and only Germany and Ireland as technically ready to receive orders through the system. It adds a fast, standardised mechanism designed for the realities of cloud-era investigations alongside the slower European Investigation Order and mutual legal assistance procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\uc774 \uaddc\uc815\uc5d0\ub294 \ub450 \uac00\uc9c0 \ud575\uc2ec \uc218\ub2e8\uc774 \ub3c4\uc785\ub418\uc5c8\uc2b5\ub2c8\ub2e4. The <strong>European Production Order<\/strong> \ub294 \uacf5\uae09\uc790\uc5d0\uac8c \uc9c0\uc815\ub41c \uc804\uc790 \ub370\uc774\ud130\ub97c \uc0dd\uc131\ud558\ub3c4\ub85d \uac15\uc81c\ud558\ub294 \ubc18\uba74\uc5d0 <strong>European Preservation Order<\/strong> compels a provider to preserve data pending a follow-up production request or MLA procedure. Both are transmitted through the EU&#8217;s decentralised IT system, whose Member State access points use <strong>\uc804\uc790 \ucf54\ub371\uc2a4<\/strong>, as standardised certificates (EPOC and EPOC-PR forms). You connect through the national system of the Member State where your addressee is located, either through the web-based interface or through an API based on ETSI TS 104 144. In Germany, this is the <em>\ub3c5\uc77c \uc5f0\ubc29 \uc0ac\ubc95 \uc7ac\ud310\uc18c(BfJ)<\/em>; other Member States have equivalent designated authorities. Service providers must receive, validate and respond to orders through the EU&#8217;s decentralised IT system (<strong>\uc804\uc790 \ucf54\ub371\uc2a4<\/strong>-based), accessed via their Member State&#8217;s national system \u2014 the workflow that purpose-built tooling such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/ic-services.io\/ko\/%ec%a0%9c%ed%92%88\/%ec%a0%84%ec%9e%90-%ec%a6%9d%ea%b1%b0-%ed%94%8c%eb%9e%ab%ed%8f%bc\/\">ICS \uc804\uc790 \uc99d\uac70 \uaddc\uc815 \uc900\uc218 \ud50c\ub7ab\ud3fc<\/a> supports, using the standardised EPOC and EPOC-PR certificates. Manual email or fax-based workflows will not meet the regulatory deadlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\uc548\uc804\ud55c \uc778\uc785 \uc778\ud130\ud398\uc774\uc2a4<\/strong> \u2014 an authenticated connection to your Member State&#8217;s national system (the web-based interface or an API based on ETSI TS 104 144) to receive, acknowledge and time-stamp every order.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\uc2e0\uc6d0 \ubc0f \uc8fc\ubb38 \uc720\ud6a8\uc131 \uac80\uc0ac<\/strong> -
